DJ Mitsch, CEO MCC

Chief Coaching Officer, Curriculum Designer

"Coaching has been called out of us at this time and in this space to humanize work. It is the missing link to shift the conversation from performance perfection to partnering and relating at every level."

DJ, a pioneer in the coaching profession, continues to innovate in the field. One of the first Master Certified Coaches, she and husband Barry Mitsch founded The Pyramid Resource Group in 1994 and have served innovative global companies for 25 years. As past president of the International Coaching Federation and a founding board member, she helped the ICF expand globally.

DJ has mentored over 500 coaches worldwide, and has certified coaches throughout the world in Pyramid’s signature Team Advantage™ team coaching process. As a CEO and former broadcast executive, she knows what it takes to train professional coaches to build successful businesses. The Healthcare Coaching Institute was born out of this vast experience when DJ realized that the business of healthcare demanded customized coaching techniques and solutions. Her passion for coaching and relationship building has resulted in an ever expanding network of connections and clients. She is author of Coaching for Extraordinary Results through ATD, Zombies to Zealots, Reawaken the Human Spirit at Work, and numerous articles and blogs on the power of coaching. The proud mother of two millennials, she credits Jessica and Hank with helping her continuously grow and learn.

As a professional coach, Janet leverages her experience as a health care executive where she learned the value and challenge of creating and maintaining an engaged and highly trained staff, of balancing attention on both strategy and operations, and of cultivating a style of courage and collaboration to improve results. Personally committed to continuous learning and growth, Janet works with organizations and leaders who recognize the critical importance of emotional intelligence and communication skills to achieve strategic initiatives while maximizing operational excellence. She applies principles of neuroscience to help her clients find ways to thrive in times of change, take calculated risks, and live into their potential. Early in her career as a practicing physician, Dr. Ackrill was fascinated by the other end of the disease-wellness spectrum: how do we go beyond disease-free to really thriving, and what supports our best potential, productivity, health, and happiness? As a physician, she experienced the disillusionment with our healthcare system shared by many practitioners. After her child was diagnosed with ADD, she spent 10 years learning brain mapping and biofeedback, addressing mental and physical challenges, and researching brain patterns that dictate behavior and performance. Cindi’s medical experience combined with her training in health and executive coaching offer a unique perspective on the motivating etiologies that lead to the development of performance capacities, health, and happiness. In helping clients attain higher performance levels they become empowered to lead and heal, creating cultures in which human potential thrives.
